TrueView Landscaping installs hardscaping for homeowners, HOAs and commercial properties in Charles County and across Southern Maryland. Most of our residential work is the kind of project homeowners actually need: a new backyard patio, a front walkway that replaces cracked concrete, a retaining wall that holds back a slope, or steps that make a grade change safer.
We handle the layout, excavation, base, drainage and installation, so the finished patio or wall stays level and holds up through Maryland freeze-thaw cycles.
Whether you want more usable backyard space, a safer way to the front door, or a fix for a slope that keeps washing out, we can help plan and build it.
A paver patio gives you a level, durable space for dining, grilling, a fire pit or just sitting outside. We build new patios, extend existing ones, and add seating walls, borders or steps where they make sense.
Walkways connect the parts of your property people actually use and keep foot traffic off the lawn.
Retaining walls hold back soil where the ground changes level. They can stop erosion, create flat usable yard space, and raise planting beds. As a retaining wall contractor, we build segmental block walls with the right base, drainage stone and, where the design requires it, reinforcement.
When your patio, walkway and yard sit at different levels, steps make the transition safe and easy to use. We install paver and block steps with consistent rise and run, plus caps and treads that match the rest of the project.
Low walls add seating around a patio or fire pit, define landscape beds, and frame entrances. They are often built with the same block and caps as a patio or retaining wall so everything matches.
If your patio has sunk, your walkway has heaved, or a wall is leaning, we can remove and rebuild it, expand it, or redesign the space. Many failed patios and walkways come down to a weak base or poor drainage, and we correct both when we rebuild.
We can also add grading, drainage and landscape lighting as part of a hardscape project, and pair it with new plantings through our landscape installation services.
The pavers and wall block are what you see. Whether a patio stays flat or a wall stays straight comes down to what’s underneath. Every TrueView hardscape installation includes:
That groundwork is the difference between a patio that looks good for one season and one that holds up for years.
TrueView Landscaping also installs hardscaping for commercial, HOA and public properties across Southern Maryland, from office parks near St. Charles Towne Center in Waldorf to retail and community properties in La Plata. Commercial hardscapes take daily foot traffic, need to meet accessibility expectations, and have to look right for tenants, residents and customers. We plan around your schedule, work with property managers and general contractors, and keep job sites clean and safe for the people using the property.

You don’t need to know which product you want before you call. During the estimate, we’ll help you narrow it down based on your home’s style, the look you want, how the space will be used, your budget, and how much maintenance you want. Options we’ll review include:
We keep you updated through each step, so you know when the crew is coming and what’s next.

It depends on size, site access, the product you choose, how much excavation and grading the site needs, and features like steps, seating walls or borders. We build projects of many sizes, from a short front walkway to a full backyard patio with walls and steps. We give you a written price after a site visit, so you know the cost before work starts.
It depends on the size of the project and site conditions. Larger walls and commercial projects take longer. We’ll give you an expected timeline with your proposal.

Some projects do, especially taller retaining walls or work that changes drainage. Requirements depend on Charles County or your town, and your HOA may need to approve the design. We’ll let you know during the estimate whether your project is likely to need a permit or HOA approval.
